Q: What surprised you most about working here?
A: I knew that weWow would be an enjoyable place to work, but I guess I was surprised with just how much fun it would be! It's not just social activities on a Friday afternoon or events throughout the year, it's working with like-minded people on a daily basis who fit your vibe and bring a collective energy to a professional environment that I've never felt in other companies.
Q: How did you grow into leadership?
A: The first step in my professional growth here was the passion to be good at what I did as an agent. Lending a helping hand to my peers came naturally to me, and this developed into an eagerness to lead. I started to put myself forward for growth opportunities and, with the support and advice of my managers, I moved into a full time Team Lead position for another growing fintech start-up, and have been loving my role ever since!
Q: What’s your proudest moment so far?
A: Officially, it's winning one of the Employee of the Year Awards in 2024. Unofficially, I'm proud every moment that I feel I've made a positive impact for my colleagues at weWow.
Q: What advice would you give new hires?
A: You get out of the job what you put in. If you're looking for professional growth at weWow, start with being the best colleague you can be. Take the time to understand your role, strike up conversations with peers, be curious about business and industries. And don't be afraid to ask for help! It's the only guaranteed shortcut in pursuit of success.
